    Stops

    1. Welcome!

Here at the University of La Verne, you can enjoy healthy athletic competition alongside your academic studies. La Verne is a NCAA Division III school and a member of the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC), competing in the following sports: baseball, basketball, cross country, football, golf, soccer, softball, swimming and diving, track and field, volleyball, and water polo.

More than 500 of our undergraduate students participate in athletics, but the university's approach is always to treat our Leopards as students first. The University of La Verne promotes health and wellness as key to the success everyone in the campus community.

This tour highlights some of the buildings and outdoor spaces that contribute to the healthy development of all students, especially our student-athletes, once we return to on-campus learning.

    2. Randall Lewis Center for Well-Being and Research

The Randall Lewis Center for Well-Being and Research is our brand-new health and wellness center, which provides the campus community with resources for physical, emotional, and mental health. The fitness center offers cardiovascular equipment, weight machines, locker rooms, exercise studios, and a calendar full of activities ranging from yoga to financial health workshops. The high-tech fitness equipment can connect to mobile devices so that students can track their fitness data. A research assessment laboratory allows science students to conduct research on health in the community.

    3. Sports Science and Athletics Pavilion

The Sports Science and Athletics Pavilion is also referred to as “The Tents” because of its iconic look. The circular building is made up of several levels. An athletic training room, weight room, coaching and advising offices, kinesiology classrooms, and locker rooms take up the first floor. On the second floor, you'll find our beautiful gym for our basketball and volleyball teams, as well as an aerobic studio. The gym is often used for important university events, too. All of the facilities in The Tents are available for use by our students, faculty, and staff.

    4. Ortmayer Stadium

This is Ortmayer Stadium, home to the football, soccer, and track and field teams. This facility is open for student and public use (as long as there isn't a scheduled athletic event). Every fall, past, present, and future Leos come together at Ortmayer Stadium for our epic homecoming weekend celebration. Our football game, tailgate gathering, and town parade show everyone in the community that Leo pride lasts for life!

    5. Campus West

Located on Wheeler Avenue is the Campus West athletics complex, home to our women's softball and men's baseball teams. The complex features two softball/baseball fields, team rooms, batting cages, an athletic training room, and press boxes. There is also a multipurpose field used for athletic training and big university events.
