    1. Dods Hall gymnasium

      Dods Hall gymnasium Dods Hall is the home of the Fredonia State volleyball and men's and women's basketball teams and the cheerleading team.

      Each Blue Devil team has its own dedicated locker room throughout Dods and Steele Halls.

    2. Blue Devil Performance Center

      Blue Devil Performance Center
      Located on the bottom floor of Dods Hall, the Blue Devil Performance Center is a state-of-the-art facility for athletes to train and prepare for their season.

      Within the Performance Center:
      • Rig accommodating six platforms for Olympic lifts, squats, dead lifts, and a wide range of body weight exercises
      • 30-foot turf with Fredonia logo
      • 5-pound to 100-pound urethane dumbbells with custom logo
      • Kettlebells and medicine balls
      • Squat racks and Smith machine
      • Leg press machine, leg extension machine, leg curl machine
      • Schwinn Airdyne exercise bikes, spin bikes, treadmills, and ellipticals
    3. Steele Hall ice arena

      Steele Hall Ice Arena

      The Steele Hall Ice Arena is home to Fredonia State Blue Devils hockey.


      Featured along the walls of the arena is a photo area of the dozens of Blue Devil players who have gone on the the professional ranks. In addition, nine All American plaques and team photos from each season adorn the wall.
      The mens locker room features plaques of alumni above each stall highlighting their Greatest Memories as a Blue Devil, our 'Fredonia family"

      The locker room also features a pull down scree for daily video review.

      Steele Hall has played host to SUNYAC Tournament games several times. Banners hanging from the ceiling commemorate the Blue Devils trip to the Division III National Championship game and NCAA Tournament. during the 1993-1994 and 1994-1995 seasons.

      Community use Besides Fredonia State collegiate hockey, the Steele Hall Ice Arena is in use nearly 18 hours a day during hockey season from September through March. The Fredonia State Club Hockey team as well as the Dunkirk-Fredonia Steelers call Steele Hall home.

      Open skates, youth and adult leagues, and various other campus activities take place in the arena. Amenities

    4. Natatorium

      Natatorium

      The Natatorium Pool is one of the top swimming arenas in the northeast, allowing the Blue Devil men's and women's swimming and diving teams to have the majority of their meets at home.

      • Diving tank has two 1-meter and one 3-meter boards
      • Trampoline adjacent to the diving tank.
      • Grandstand provides ample seating capacity.

      The Natatorium has open swim hours for faculty, staff, and the community. Local swimming and diving clubs also utilize the facility.


      The Natatorium is the site of the annual Blue Devil Invitational -- with teams from all over the northeast -- the first weekend in December.

      Home meets are streamed online. 

    5. Steele Hall fieldhouse

      Fieldhouse

      Steele Hall hosts our fall open houses, where students can come to learn all about SUNY Fredonia!

      The Steele Hall Fieldhouse is home to the Fredonia State indoor track teams, and the Cheerleading team hosts a sanctioned Cheer & Dance Competition annually here. 

      The Fieldhouse is also home to most varsity teams' practices, Section VI High School track meets and a variety of intramural activities.

      Steele Hall also houses in indoor batting cage utilized by the Blue Devil softball and baseball teams.

      It is also the site of graduation each May and holds numerous other activities, including Open House receptions and Activities Night.

    6. Tennis courts

      Tennis Courts
      Fredonia State's tennis courts, located adjacent to Steele Hall, feature eight courts and are home to the women's tennis team. A wind guard is installed around the entire court complex to create better game and practice conditions. 

      There are also two outdoor basketball courts connected to the tennis court complex.
    7. Cross Country course

      Fredonia's mens and womens cross-country teams utilize the beautiful green space on the northern end of the Fredonia campus for their course.
    8. Softball field

      Softball Field Blue Devil Field, located near the northwest corner of campus just off Ring Road, has been home to the Fredonia State softball team since 2002.

    9. Ludwig Field (baseball)

      Ludwig Field

      Ludwig Field is the home of the Blue Devil Baseball team.

      The field measures 330 feet to each foul pole and 390 feet to center field.

    10. Outdoor track

      Outdoor Track The outdoor track features:
      • Eight-lane, quarter mile track. 
      • Long-jump pit and throwing cage adjacent to the track.

    13. University Stadium turf field

      The turf field is used by men's and women's soccer, women's lacrosse and intramural/club sports.
