    1. Office of Undergraduate Admissions

      Located on Patterson St. across from West Hall is the newly remodeled Office of Admissions. Home to our admissions staff including our Admissions Counselors who are all VSU graduates! 

    2. Front Lawn

      VSU's front lawn offers the perfect setting for many campus events, including our commencement ceremonies.

    3. Nevins Hall

      Home to VSU’s Computer Science, Data Science, Sociology/Anthropology, and Environmental Geosciences programs, Nevins Hall features a planetarium that hosts public presentations and an observation deck open for special viewing events such as eclipses, comets, and other astronomical phenomena.

    4. West Hall

      A campus landmark and one of VSU's most iconic buildings, West Hall houses majors in English, History, Political Science, and Modern & Classical Languages. Many Dual-Enrollment classes are also held in West Hall.

    5. Bailey Science Center

      The Hugh C. Bailey Science Center, completed in 2001 and named in 2005 in honor of former President Bailey, who served the University with distinction for 23 years, provides offices, classrooms, and state-of-the-art labs for the Departments of Biology and Chemistry. 

    6. Powell Hall

      Powell Hall, originally named “The Library”

      Powell Hall was built by WPA funds, from the Roosevelt Administration, and completed in 1940 and was dedicated in 1941 by Eleanor Roosevelt. 

      Powell Hall has a renewed purpose as a teaching-learning-performance space for VSU’s Department of Music faculty, staff, and students. The renovated facility features student gathering spaces, practice rooms, rehearsal rooms for medium chamber ensembles, a conference room, a jazz ensemble room, a music education room, a recital hall capable of seating up to 200 people, approximately half a million dollars in new pianos, and much more.

    7. Reade Hall

      Named in honor of VSU’s third president, Frank Robertson Reade, Reade Hall is one of the most unique residence halls on campus. Located directly on the Pedestrian Walkway, Reade Hall is home to students in the Honors Program and features a classic Pac-Man arcade game in its main lobby.

    8. Georgia Hall

      Georgia Hall is one of our newly built residence halls located right off Georgia Avenue. Georgia Hall currently houses freshmen as well as upperclassmen and provides students the option of either semi-private suites that house 4 residents, or private suites that house 2 residents.

    9. Farbar Hall

      Farbar Hall is home of Marriage & Family Therapy and the FamilyWorks Clinic which provides affordable, high-quality counseling services for individuals, couples, and families, including children as young as 3 years old. Walk-in services are free of charge; telehealth and traditional in-clinic services are offered on a sliding-fee scale, with fees ranging from zero dollars to $20 per session.

    10. Palm's Dining Hall

      The Palms Dining Hall offers an all-you-care-to-eat dining experience with a wide variety of fresh, flavorful options. From made-to-order favorites like pizza and sandwiches to home-style meals, pastas, soups, and a 40-item salad bar, students can enjoy something new every day including daily specials like Fried Chicken Thursdays, a Blazer favorite!

    11. Hopper Hall

      Located next to Palm's Dining Hall, Hopper Hall offers suite-style living with convenient access to campus dining, the VSU Bookstore, and student services. The building also houses the main student mailroom, Blazer Dining Hall, and Housing and Residence Life’s central office.

    12. Ashley Hall

      Home of the Main Campus Student Advising Center, as well as academic departments for History, Philosophy & Religious Studies and Women's & Gender Studies.  

    13. Converse Hall

      Converse Hall was built in 2011 and has classrooms and the professional offices for the Graduate School, the Department of Psychology and Counseling, and the Office of Sponsored Programs and Research Administration.

    14. Pedestrian Mall

      The walkway that connects it all. Walk through the center of campus and discover the energy, traditions, and community that make VSU feel like home.

    15. Converse Square

      This outdoor gathering space is where student organizations host events, campus traditions come to life, and friends meet up between classes.

    16. Student Union

      Located at the center of campus, the Student Union is the hub of student life at VSU. It features dining options, lounge spaces, programming areas for student organizations, and student support services including Student Life, Career Opportunities & Volunteer Services, the Blazer Pantry, and the Vice President of Enrollment and Student Affairs.

    17. Odum Library

      Odum Library is the heart of Valdosta State University. We are located at the south end of the pedestrian walkway, between the Student Union and the Lowndes and Brown residence halls. Library materials are available for students, faculty, staff and community members to use. The library collection includes approximately 530,000 volumes, electronic and print journals, government documents, microform, and audio-visual materials, as well as numerous maps, charts, and archival resources. The library currently subscribes to numerous print magazines, journals and newspapers and has more than 64,000 full text online journals available through GALILEO. Students, faculty, and staff also have access to all eligible circulating materials at all USG libraries through the Universal Catalog and GIL Express.

    18. Brown Hall

      Located next to Odum Library and across from the beautiful Front Lawn is Brown Hall. A traditional-style residence hall designed for first-year students. The hall features newly renovated bathrooms with individual pods that include private bathroom and shower spaces.

    19. Patterson Hall

      Next to Brown is Patterson Hall, a traditional-style residence hall featuring in-room sinks, community bathrooms, and a large lobby space. This hall also includes a classroom for student courses, music practice rooms, and support from Resident Assistants who help create a welcoming community.

    20. Lowndes Hall

      Located near Odum Library and the Fine Arts Building, Lowndes Hall is a two-story residence hall designed for first-year students. This hall features a covered back patio with picnic tables, providing a great space for studying, relaxing, socializing, and student programs.

    21. Fine Arts Building

      Home to VSU’s Theatre, Music, and Art programs, the Fine Arts Building features The Dedo Maranville Fine Arts Gallery, performance halls, a lab theatre, practice rooms, and studios. VSU is the only university in Georgia to host a professional musical theatre company on campus each year through Peach State Summer Theatre.

    22. NPHC Plaza

      This area acts as a gathering place for current and alumni members of NPHC to host traditional events such as new member presentations, yard shows, Homecoming events, and new innovative events that can be created specifically for this space.

    23. Mass Media Building

      Home to VSU’s Speech Communication, Public Relations, and Mass Media programs, the Mass Media Building features classrooms, production spaces, and television studios where students gain hands-on experience.

    24. Bazemore-Hyder Stadium

      Valdosta State's home football field, Cleveland Field at Bazemore-Hyder Stadium, offers Valdosta State with a football facility conveniently located adjacent to VSU's main campus.

      The seating capacity of the stadium is 10,100 including three prime sections featuring theater-style seating with the remainder of the stands featuring benches with seat backs. 

    25. University Center

      VSU’s one-stop shop for student services, the University Center houses key offices including Financial Aid, Student Accounts (Bursary), Parking & Transportation, and the 1Card Office.

       

    26. Alumni House

      The McKey-Seago House, built circa 1915 on Patterson Street. Recipient of a 2015 Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation Excellence in Rehabilitation Award, the home was thoughtfully restored through a two-phase project led by Valdosta State University. Today, it serves as the VSU Alumni House. Home of the legendary President's Tailgate held before each home game.

    27. Blazer Print Shop

      Home of the Blazer Print Shop, he primary printer for the University.

    28. Athletic Field House

      The Athletic Training Facility, 605 West Mary Street, was constructed in 2008 and provides offices and training facilities for the football and soccer programs and for the Athletic Department’s strength and conditioning center and flagship sports medicine center.

    29. Intramural Fields

      The Intramural Fields are used for playing intramural sports and participating in a variety of campus activities.

    30. Centennial Hall

      The apartment style residence hall with 2 or 4 bedroom, fully furnished apartments. The building is equipped with a full living room and kitchen and reserved for our upperclassmen & graduate students.

    31. Student Recreation Center

      Our indoor facilities offer several multipurpose courts, a heated swimming pool, a climbing wall, a jogging track, and designated fitness areas including group fitness classrooms and our state-of-the-art weight room; outside, our recreational fields, as well as the Leadership Challenge Course hosted by CORE Outdoors, are here to help suit all the recreational needs of our members. Along with our facilities, many programs here at the SRC, such as Aquatics, CORE Outdoors, Intramural and Club Sports, and Group Fitness, offer activities and events that encourage members to join together in a fun, active environment.

    32. Sustella Avenue Parking Deck

      The Sustella Parking Deck, constructed in 2008, provides 1,322 parking spaces, a University Police Substation, and offices for Valdosta State Online.

    33. PE Complex "The Plex"

      The Complex serves as the home to the Valdosta State basketball programs as well as Blazer volleyball. One of the rowdiest arenas in the NCAA Division II ranks, The Complex seats 5,350 fans for each Blazer home event. One of VSU’s four Athletic Training Rooms can also be found in the PE Complex, along with an indoor walking/running track.

      The PE Complex is the perfect indoor location for many student events including VSU's Graduate School Commencement Ceremonies, New Student Convocation, and our Open Houses.

    34. Oak Street Parking Lot + Parking Deck

      The Oak Street Parking Deck, constructed in 2008, provides 922 parking spaces, offices for University Police, and for Information Technology.

    35. Dewar College of Education and Human Services

      Home to VSU’s original major, Education, this building houses Early Childhood Education, Middle Grades Education, Secondary Education, American Sign Language/Interpreting, and Deaf Education programs. VSU is one of only a few universities in Georgia to offer an American Sign Language program. One of the two The Einstein Bros. Bagels locations is also found here.

    36. Jennett Lecture Hall

      Jennett Hall, contains two large lecture halls seating 350 students each and was completed in 2010.

    37. Honors College

      The Honors College is a community of scholars connected to a program of study with foundations in undergraduate research, service and experiential learning, leadership, and global  experience and understanding. The Honors House on Georgia Ave will serve as an Enhancement Corridor and a pathway to student success.

    38. Student Health Center

      Located on Georgia Avenue, the Student Health Center provides primary care and treatment for minor injuries and illnesses. The center is staffed by licensed healthcare professionals, including a physician, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, nurses, and medical support staff, providing quality care and support for VSU students.

    39. Health Sciences and Business Administration Building

      The Health Sciences and Business Administration Building, 2525 North Patterson Street, on the North Campus, opened in 2014 and houses the College of Nursing and Health Sciences, the Langdale College of Business Administration, the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders, and the Department of Social Work. This building provides state-of-the-art labs and classrooms to support these departments.

    40. Pound Hall

      Pound Hall, built in 1926 and completely renovated in 1991-1992, was named for Dr. Jere M. Pound, the second president of the University. It houses offices of the Division of University Advancement, classrooms and Pound Hall Auditorium.

    41. Thaxton Hall

      Thaxton Hall, built in 1926 and completely renovated in 1982, was named for Dr. J. Ralph Thaxton, VSU’s fourth president. It provides facilities for the Langdale College of Business Administration.

    42. Barrow Hall (Aerospace Studies/ROTC)

      Barrow Hall, named for David C. Barrow, Chancellor of the University System when South Georgia Normal College opened in 1913, was remodeled in 1971 to house the Division of Aerospace Studies (Air Force ROTC).
