      Native to Texas and adjacent parts of Oklahoma, Texas red oak is a deciduous oak with a rounded crown and deep red fall color. It is tolerant of heat and, once established, drought.

      Botanical name: Cedrus deodara 

      Native to the western Himalayas, deodar cedar is an evergreen conifer with graceful, drooping branches and soft needles. It is adapted to hot summers and dry seasons and shows good heat and drought tolerance once established in well-drained soils.
