The Colleges at Trent : where tradition and history meet modern and vibrant living and learning spaces.
Catharine Parr Traill College
This community of forward thinkers and “traill-blazers” is the only college located in downtown Peterborough.
At Traill you’ll find a student oasis steeped in heritage: historic buildings amidst a learning environment where diversity and the blending of ideas thrive.
This college is for you if you love to get lost in a good book, but never get lost in the crowd.
Great spaces in this close-knit college include modern residences, lecture halls and study nooks, as well as a vibrant restaurant – the Trend – and even a quaint and traditional college library.
Throughout the year at Traill, you can take part in engaging events, including a Writers Reading series hosted through the English department, and just wait until you experience your first Traill Carnival in the winter.
Lady Eaton College
Here at Lady Eaton College, tradition meets youthful passion. Welcome to an energetic and proud community where Trent’s interdisciplinary programs shine bright.
Just look at this spectacular space! A triumph of modern architecture – I’m sure you can’t wait to live, socialize and study here.
Do you love comfort food favourites? Lady Eaton College serves up homey meals in a sustainable, green certified dining facility.
Love to embrace the fun of traditions? As an LECer, you can take part in the Great Toad Hunt, where secret traditions have been passed on exclusively to college members for over 50 years.
Champlain College
At Champlain College, you’ll find a dynamic student experience that brings together active living, passion for tradition and global perspectives.
From the banks of the Otonabee, Champlain springs up – a monument to Canadian architecture at its finest. Here, you can find a solitary study haven, while also building community.
Do you have spirit? Looking to get active? This is the place for you to get moving and gain global perspective. You can also have fun with some of the unique college traditions – broom ball at the Bon Temps Winter Carnival anyone?
Champlain brings people together to continue their discoveries, and rise to the challenge of changing world. It is known for its global citizens and is home to Trent International.
You may also enjoy “dishing” with your fellow students in the Great Hall. We like to think it is a little like Hogwart’s…
Otonabee College
There’s a saying that you can’t step into the same river twice – because it’s always changing. At Otonabee College you can be part of the change as part of a passionate community.
Join a dynamic group of learners, researchers and practitioners who make themselves at home atop the ridge of Trent’s East Bank.
Dining at Otonabee College includes many big name go-tos, including Pizza Pizza, Subway and Tim Hortons, as well as comfort food favourites and healthy on-the-go options.
OCers also get a little wild sometimes with fun events like the Wildside Weekend. Students also proudly compete in the East vs West Hockey game (which sees colleges from Trent’s East Bank square off against West Bank teams).
Gzowski College
Move into the future speaking together. At Gzowski, Indigenous knowledge is central to the way students live and work. Broaden your understanding in this collaborative college community.
Here you will find the First Peoples House of Learning, School of Business, the Office of Research and Innovation, Departments of Economic and Mathematics and the Chanie Wenjack School for Indigenous Studies.
Gzowski College Dining Hall is one of two 3 star green certified restaurants on campus (and a Canadian first!), offering up fresh food and culinary delights to fuel students for success. Pasta bar, gourmet meals cooked by our very own chef, and a variety of other healthy options – the choice is yours.
Get creative with college events including performances in the Nozhem Performance Space, guest lectures, and arts events.
