      Beau's Dream Dog Park - Buchanan Park

      Located in Buchanan Park, the dog park is a favorite relaxation spot for many students including our tour guides Lia Tavarez '20 and Gabi Girton '22. 
    2. Chestnut Hill Cafe

      Chestnut Hill Cafe - 532 W Chestnut St, Lancaster, PA

      Eunice Woo '22 walks to Chestnut Hill Cafe for a great place to study. She says "It's a calming environment with delicious snacks." According to Madeline Schneider '22, "the grilled PB&J is unreal."

    3. Splits & Giggles

      Splits and Giggles - 500 W Lemon St Lancaster, PA

      Splits and Giggles is a Lancaster favorite that many students discover within their first few weeks on campus just like Zoe Favilla '23 did this year. It is located near some F&M approved off campus housing, so as Maceo Whatley '22 explains "It lets students and families see what the off campus living community looks like."
    4. Luca

      Luca -  436 W James St Lancaster, PA

      Many students enjoy sharing the quaint atmosphere of Luca when friends and family come to visit. Kit Meiler '21 thinks " Luca is also another great choice, with some of the best Italian food I've ever had."

    5. Mean Cup

      Mean Cup - 398 Harrisburg Ave, Lancaster, PA

      Mean Cup is an F&M favorite.  The student workers in the admission office all have a different favorite drink from hot chocolate to iced coffee.  Madeline Schneider says it best, "it's where you can find half of F&M's student body at any time of the day."

    6. Clipper Magazine Stadium

      Clipper Magazine Stadium - 650 N Prince St, Lancaster, PA

      During baseball season you can find Dean DiPisa '22 cheering on the Lancaster Barnstormers at Clipper Magazine Stadium.  Visit the Barnstormers website to see the home game schedule.

    7. Building Character

      Building Character - 342 N Queen St, Lancaster, PA

      Senior Alex Pinsk visits Building Character to find "many odds and ends and Lancaster themed gifts and gadgets. It's such a funky shop to walk through and enjoy." Visit their website to see what unique gifts you can find at Building Character.

    8. Binns Park

      Binns Park - 120 N Queen St, Lancaster PA

      When asked to name a unique place in Lancaster, Lancaster native Roger Avila-Vidal '22 names Binns Park. "It is a small park in the center of Lancaster city. Usually it is a place for people to gather and play with the water fountain in the center. But during the summer there are several events held in that area. Hispanic Heritage Festival, Asian Heritage Festival, Gay Pride, and other major events that celebrate the diversity and identities of the people of Lancaster. I have made many great memories there just hanging out with friends, or during a festival."

    9. Pottery Works

      Pottery Works - 16 W Orange St, Lancaster, PA

      Maureen Adames '22 enjoys painting pottery at Pottery Works. "It’s a nice, chill, and relaxing time to spend with friends. I painted a coffee mug with stripes. I played it safe since I knew I am not a painter!!!! You walk into PotteryWorks and there’s already SO many things you can paint on (plates, mugs, bowls, small toys, canvases, etc!!!!) and there’s an array of colors and brushes you can choose from which was surprising!"

    10. Central Market

      Central Market - 23 N Market St, Lancaster, PA

      Central Market is a popular location for many student workers in the Admission Office.  As William Argo '22 says "It's a great place to find all sorts of fresh, local food."

    11. Fulton Theatre

      Fulton Theatre - 12 N Prince St, Lancaster, PA

      When looking for great entertainment, Mackenzie Shirk '23 goes to "the Fulton Theatre to get student rush tickets. If you go to the box office an hour before any show and show your student ID, you can buy any remaining tickets for only $10.  The shows are broadway quality." 
    12. Gallery Row

      Gallery Row - Downtown Lancaster

      Every First Friday Lancaster celebrates the city and its businesses including the art galleries.  Businesses stay open late as people explore downtown Lancaster. Art galleries are scattered around town displaying local artists work.  Visit Lancaster City Art & Museums to find them all.

    13. Long's Park

      Long's Park - Harrisburg Pike, Lancaster, Pa

      Samantha Griffith '22 grabs her friends, a picnic, and outdoor games to take along to Long's Park on nice days.  It's a relaxing spot off campus to enjoy the outdoors and Summer Music Series presented by Long's Park Amphitheater.
    14. Spooky Nook Sports

      Spooky Nook Sports75 Champ Blvd Manheim, PA

      Spooky Nook is one of the highlights in the Lancaster county sporting community.  Field Hockey player and tour guide Abby Straub '21 explains, " [Spooky Nook] was where the FH National Championship was held this past year. Everyone came out to watch it which is amazing and shows how supportive our school is as a whole."  Many students also visit Spooky Nook for the indoor climbing wall as a way to relax.

    15. Chickies Rock Park

      Chickies Rock - 880 Chickies Hill Rd, Columbia, PA

      Students sometimes enjoy a small get away.  Emily Pollock '20 says "Chickies Rock is the perfect place for a peaceful and beautiful reprieve from campus life. The gorgeous hiking trail leads you to a beautiful overlook of the Susquehanna River. It is a fun hike to do especially in the fall as the leaves change color and make it even more picturesque."
