Frisch Welcome Center
Centrally located between the Howard Administration Building and the Gooding Building, the Frisch Welcome Center is easily seen upon entering the main gates of campus. The Office of Admissions calls this building home, and campus tours start here throughout the week.
Howard Administration Building
Among the University’s most iconic buildings, the Howard Administration Building houses a number of student services, including the offices of Financial Aid and Academic Advising, as well as the Registrar, Admissions, and the Office of the President.
Nelms Plaza
Nelms Plaza is a hub for students seeking an outdoor space with comfortable furniture, awnings, lighting, and plug-in stations, all with a cabana feel. This collaborative and relaxing study area is conveniently located alongside the Science Quad and within steps of the Brooks Rehabilitation College of Healthcare Sciences and Davis College of Business.
Brooks Rehabilitation College of Healthcare Sciences Main Building
The Brooks Rehabilitation College of Healthcare Sciences is comprised of two adjacent but connected buildings. The Main Building is home to the School of Applied Health Sciences and the Keigwin School of Nursing. The adjacent Lazzara Building houses the School of Orthodontics. The newest college at the University includes a 30,000-square-foot facility filled with high-tech equipment and learning space.
Davis College of Business
The Davis College of Business building is a state-of-the-art facility with classrooms, faculty offices, executive seminar rooms, tiered lecture rooms, computer labs, lounges, and a casual dining facility. It is here that many VIP speakers, community mentors, and other guests converge in a variety of events, including town hall meetings, debates, conferences, media avails, and annual speaker series.
Science Quad
Four facilities make up the University’s core Science Quad, including the Merritt Penticoff, Nelms Science, Swisher Science, and Reid Medical buildings. It comprises the departments of Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Biology and Chemistry.
Davis Student Commons
Serving as the student life center for the campus, Davis Student Commons has space solely dedicated for student use, including student activities and organizations. The Student Commons also houses the state-of-the-art Billie Nimnicht Jr. Fitness Center, the Buccaneer Game Room, a student lounge, multiple meeting rooms, and Chick-Fil-A.
A Commuter Lounge is now available next to Chick-Fil-A. The Commuter Lounge features two cable TVs, lounge chairs, study space, a cork board for Commuter Student communication, and a microwave.
There are also lockers available to commuter students on a semester basis from the 3rd floor student reception desk. The lockers are located on the 1st floor in the lobby of Ross Theater.
Kinne University Center
Named in honor of former president and the University’s current Chancellor Emeritus, the Kinne Center houses dining options such as the Riverview Café and Starbucks, as well as the JU bookstore and post office. An added bonus, it also features a recently completed outdoor deck that allows students to enjoy a meal while overlooking center field at John Sessions Stadium.
Defender's Den Student Veteran Center
The University’s new 1,000-square-foot Student Veterans Center contains a computer lab, study area and lounge for our military student community. This facility is just one of the many ways JU serves and is committed to this community of more than 400. The Defenders’ Den also houses one of the only on-campus USO centers in the country.
