Named in honor of former president and the University’s current Chancellor Emeritus, the Kinne Center houses dining options such as the Riverview Café and Starbucks, as well as the JU bookstore and post office. An added bonus, it also features a recently completed outdoor deck that allows students to enjoy a meal while overlooking center field at John Sessions Stadium.
      2. Davis Student Commons

Serving as the student life center for the campus, Davis Student Commons has space solely dedicated for student use, including student activities and organizations. A Commuter Lounge is now available next to Chick-Fil-A. The Commuter Lounge features two cable TVs, lounge chairs, study space, a cork board for Commuter Student communication, and a microwave.

      3. Swisher Library

The Carl S. Swisher Library is a three-story, 52,000 square foot facility overlooking the St. Johns River and centrally located in the heart of campus. Currently in a period of transition, the library continues in its mission to provide both online and print resources and services that support JU's academic programs, as well as an extensive music collection with more than 20,000 musical scores covering a wide range of styles from different time periods.
      4. Reid Medical Science Center

The renovated Reid Medical Science Building is a 30,000-sq-ft hub for biological and health sciences at Jacksonville University. It houses six teaching labs spanning biochemistry, microbiology, biotechnology, and ecology, along with faculty-student research space and advanced instrumentation, including a confocal microscope and an SEM. Designed to strengthen research and the pre-health pipeline, the building anchors hands-on learning and key partnerships across the region, including LECOM at JU.

      5. River House

The River House features interactive flat-screen TVs, food service, wireless technology, conference and meeting rooms, a cozy fireplace setting, a 2-story screen porch, outdoor multi-tiered decks totaling more than 2,800 square feet, a fire pit, entertainment stages, and more. A center of constant activity, the on-campus pub serves sandwiches, flatbreads, and salads, as well as hosting nightly entertainment during the semester.

      6. Marine Science Research Institute

MSRI is the home for the Marine Science undergraduate and graduate program along with partner institutions including the Riverkeeper, FWC Independent fish Monitoring Program and the Millar Wilson Laboratory. The 32,000-square-foot facility overlooks the St. Johns River and includes both an outdoor classroom and “floating classroom” The Larkin, which is a 48-foot vessel that allows students and faculty to conduct hands-on marine research, classes and study directly in the marine environment.

A Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED)® Gold-certified building, the MSRI is energy efficient, complete with solar hot water system and a rainwater harvest system for non-portable usage. The MSRI achieved their certification for lighting, water and material use, as well as incorporating a variety of other sustainable strategies. By using less energy and water, LEED-certified buildings save money for families, businesses and taxpayers; reduce greenhouse gas emissions; and contribute to a healthier environment for residents, workers and the larger community.

OCEARCH at Jacksonville University also has its academic home in the JU campus in the Marine Science Research Institute.
