      Our campuses offer beautiful spaces, fun activities and a vibrant cultural life see for yourself by taking a tour around our Middletown Campus.

      1. Johnston Hall

        Your tour of the Middletown Campus begins in Johnston Hall. As soon as you enter the building, not only will you witness vibrant student life in the Hawk Haven (Dining Hall), you can also find students hanging out in the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, and in the Office of Student Activities.

        In addition to classrooms, this bustling building is also home to a variety of offices and student services ready to welcome you to the Miami family and guide you along your path to success:

      2. Thesken Hall

        Thesken Hall houses the Department of Education and Society, and Engineering Technology. All are committed to preparing students for lucrative careers.

        Students in our Engineering Technology programs will have access to several teaching, research, and computing laboratories to give you a better sense of theories that students learn in classrooms. Most of the courses that we offer come with elements of hands-on experiments.

      3. Bennett Recreation Center

        The C. Eugene Bennett Recreation Center (Gym) includes a fully-updated weight room, which contains state-of-the-art elliptical and exercise equipment, free weights, exercise cycles, Stair Masters, and treadmills - FREE for student use.

        This building is also home to our Thunderhawk Men's and Women's Championship Basketball teams.

        A Miami ID gets you in the games at no charge and is required to use the facility or check out equipment.

      4. Levey Hall

        Miami Middletown's main science building, Levey Hall, is home to our state-of-the-art science labs. You can find the Department of Biological Sciences, which offers a major in Applied Biology and a variety of course offerings in other sciences. Here you will also find our flourishing English Language Center that provides intensive English language instruction to non-native speakers of English.

        It is named for Barry J. Levey for his long involvement with Miami University dating back to the early 1960's. A young legislator, he was influential in securing the funding to build the Middletown Campus.

      5. Verity Lodge

        Verity Lodge has an important place in the rich history of the city of Middletown, Ohio. The building—its framework and exterior made of Armco steel—was built in the early 1940s for exclusive use as a women's club for Armco Steel's female employees. Verity Lodge was renovated in 2011.

        On the lower level th eButler County Educational Service Center (BCESC) has opened a Head Start Center. Head Start is a federally-funded preschool program for children ages 3-5. 

      6. Dave Finkelman Auditorium

        From Aerosmith to the Moscow Ballet, Middletown Symphony Orchestra and Bunny Hollow Players to Nobel laureates, dance recitals, and graduations, the Dave Finkelman Auditorium has hosted thousands of events since it opened in 1969.

      7. Gardner-Harvey Library

        Gardner-Harvey Library is one of the original buildings on the Middletown campus and serves as a location for students and community members to study, relax, meet with others, and create information. It houses an array of learning spaces including 9 private and group study rooms, comfy seating areas, computer workstations and a TEC lab that provides the latest cool tools for student and community use.

        On the lower level of this building you can find a computer lab equipped with 24 computer workstations, printer and a copy machine.
