Please be advised that KUB will begin gas line repair and replacement work on The Hill starting this week. This project will occur in phases and will result in temporary lane restrictions, loading dock closures, and utility outages in several areas.
Key impacts include:
• Partial lane closures on Middle Drive near SERF, Dabney Buehler, and Min H. Kao
• Temporary closure of several loading dock areas
• Boring and underground utility work near SERF and adjacent roadways
• Scheduled gas outages for select buildings during construction activities
Current tentative schedule:
May 25 – May 29
• Site setup activities begin
• Hesler Chiller Building gas outage (approximately 4 hours)
• Hesler loading dock temporarily unavailable
June 1 – June 5
• SERF, Dabney Buehler, and Daugherty buildings will experience a multi-day gas outage
• SERF and Dabney Buehler loading docks closed temporarily
• Traffic lane restrictions and utility boring operations in the surrounding area
