         About:
         Hargis Hall was built in 1888 and predates Samford Hall by a few months. It has served many purposes, but currently it houses the Graduate School. The historic building has had numerous renovations because of fires. Today, Hargis Hall only houses offices for the Graduate School, but many years ago chemistry classes were held in the historic building.
