At nearly 30,000 square feet, the state-of-the-art facility houses about 40 employees who perform investigative and laboratory services for law enforcement in a 22-county region. Opened in November 2014, the crime lab represents a collaborative partnership between the state of Ohio and BGSU. Part of the partnership includes the Ohio Attorney General’s Center for the Future of Forensic Science, whose mission is to foster innovative forensic scientific research and create training opportunities for forensic professionals and students in forensic science-related fields.
