The Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, better known as "the Tec", is a major university system with 32 campuses throughout Mexico. The Tec focuses on social responsibility and giving back to the community, with their graduates completing an average of 550 community service hours over the course of their studies.

CSU IP students study at Tec’s Querétaro campus, which enrolls about 5,000 students in over 20 programs, including international relations, digital art and design, and global business. CSU students may pursue coursework in most of these areas, subject to their language ability, or concentrate on Spanish language learning.

The Mexico: Tecnológico de Monterrey (in English) program is designed for beginning and intermediate students who want to improve their Spanish language skills while taking courses in their academic major. Each semester, students enroll in six to nine units of Spanish language and six to nine units of academic coursework taught in English. There are approximately 70 courses offered in English at the Tec, and academic offerings vary from year to year. For students with a more advanced level of Spanish, coursework is also available in Spanish. Students may also have the opportunity to participate in a three-unit internship depending on availability and language requirements.

The Mexico: Tecnológico de Monterrey (in Spanish) program is designed for students who have advanced proficiency in Spanish reading, writing, listening, and speaking and who are ready to study in the native language alongside local students. The Tec provides a Spanish language placement test upon arrival to assess students’ Spanish language level. Students who are placed in advanced Spanish and who have met the course prerequisites can enroll in any of the courses offered at the Tec. The International Programs Office staff in Querétaro will assist with course registration during the on-site orientation. Students may also have the opportunity to participate in a three-unit internship depending on availability and language requirements.
