About

1 Chome-1-1 Tennodai, Tsukuba, Ibaraki 305-8577, Japan
The University of Tsukuba is one of the oldest National universities in Japan and is ranked in the top 10 universities in Japan. The University of Tsukuba currently enrolls approximately 3,000 international students—more than any other Japanese national university—and plans to increase this to over 5,000 to expand their position as a global university. CSU IP's programs in Japan are administered by full-time local CSU staff based at Waseda University in Tokyo.
CSU IP participants in Tsukuba focus the majority of their studies on Japanese language courses, offered by the International Student Center at the University of Tsukuba. Students will supplement their Japanese language courses by taking elective courses taught in English. Electives are typically offered in a broad range of areas, including Japanese culture, international relations, biology, psychology, comparative cultures, and more.
