The Marion and Wayland H. Cato Jr. Center for the Arts is a five-story, 70,000 square foot building featuring a sunken central courtyard.
- The Halsey Institute for Contemporary Art is located on the first floor. The Halsey Institute provides a space for the production, presentation, interpretation, and dissemination of ideas by innovative visual artists from around the world.
- The Hill Gallery is another space on the first floor that is used to exhibit student art.
- The building also features rehearsal and performance spaces, a dance studio and two photography darkrooms.
