The Research Center & Demonstration Orchard is part of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas's Center for Urban Water Conservation. The goal of this facility is to research new varieties of fruit-producing trees, vines and other plant materials in sustainable ways. The facility features 500+ fruit trees, over 200 grapevines, vegetables and other row crops. In recent years, test areas of hops and drought-tolerant wine grape rootstocks have been added.
