Gould Hall is the main building for the College of Built Environments, built in 1971. It is named after Carl F. Gould, founder and first chair of the Department of Architecture. Carl Gould was a high profile architect in the northwest who contributed directly to the iconic architecture style of many original buildings on campus, such as Suzzallo Library and buildings in the Liberal Arts Quadrangle.
