What began as a temporary student attraction, became a campus monument.
The Laker Letters were inspired by large foam letters constructed for a campus life event. They were stored in the Kirkhof Center and often displayed on the lawn in front of Student Services, where they became a popular photo stop for the Laker Community.
When they became too worn to display, members of GVSU leadership partnered to create a permanent replacement. They now stand as a point of pride in the heart of the Allendale campus.
