The primary switches, cables, terminations, junctions, and live front/end-of-life transformers are in need of replacement. The College has completed a feasibility study to determine the most effective approach. This work will be carried out as a phased project, addressing zones of the campus incrementally. Mobile generators will be utilized as needed to support operations during the process.
Originally installed in the early 1970s, the campus electrical grid is now in critical need of repair or replacement to improve reliability and energy efficiency. This project is expected to reduce utility costs, enhance campus safety, and strengthen the reliability of the College’s overall infrastructure.
