         Nixon Hall is a classic example of Fredonia's first-year, co-ed corridor-style residence halls — designed to help new students feel connected, supported, and part of a vibrant community.

         Living Features

         • Corridor-Style Layout: Three floors house up to 200 residents, with double-occupancy rooms (never triples).

         • Shared Kitchenette: Conveniently located on the first floor for light cooking and snacks.

         • Bathrooms: Each floor includes three large, well-maintained bathrooms.

         • Laundry Made Easy: Two first-floor laundry rooms with free machines that can be tracked in real time through the LaundryView app.

         Safety & Support

         • Secure Access: Entry is controlled by FredCard swipe access for the safety of residents.

         • Residence Life Staff: Professional Residence Directors (RDs) and student Resident Assistants (RAs) reside in the building, providing support, peer counseling, and programming while fostering a welcoming and respectful community.

         Nixon Hall opened in 1963 and is named for Samuel Frederick Nixon, who served on the Fredonia College Council from 1932 to 1952.
