Dedicated to research under the Agroecology program, the UTRGV Garden and Greenhouse provides a space for exploring and learning methods in sustainable agriculture. Giving access to multiple student organizations such as the Environmental Awareness Club, the Garden Club, SGA, etc., and the campus community in general, the Garden and Greenhouse supports food sovereignty, which refers to the right of communities to healthy and culturally appropriate food and to define their food production systems, falling under the scope of Sustainable Development Goal #2: Zero Hunger.
