Opened in 1930, the Mackay Science building was a gift to the University from donor Clarence H. Mackay, who also provided funding for the Mackay Mines Building. This Georgian-style structure, complete with Ionic pilasters, was designed by Reno architect Frederick De Longchamps.
Today, it houses the Department of Geography as well as offices for the Faculty Senate.
