The WWI Memorial Amphitheater at the University of North Alabama, completed in 1934, stands as a tribute to six students lost in WWI. Conceived by Mrs. Susan J. Price, a geography professor, the amphitheater deviated from her original design but remains a poignant memorial that is also used for various campus events. The structure, costing $10,140.66, was dedicated to their valor and patriotism, a testament to Mrs. Price's vision and the 1934 alumni's generosity.
