        Renewable Energy

Colgate utilizes a variety of renewable energy sources to power and heat the university. Some of the renewable energy resources currently in use include solar thermal energy at 100 Broad Street, geothermal energy at Chapel House, air-source heat pumps at the Colgate Club House, and locally sourced woodchips in our heating plant. Additionally, 100% of Colgate's electricity is generated from carbon-free sources such as hydroelectric and nuclear. More information ›
