         The Critical Materials and Energy Systems Innovation Center (CMESIC) is a research and education consortium consisting of the Department of Energy’s Idaho National Laboratory and several universities in Idaho and Wyoming, including ISU.

         This building was renamed in 2025, formally referred to as the Center for Advanced Energy Studies (CAES).
