Opened in March 2012, the George S. Lindsey Theatre serves as a premier performance center for the artistic community of both University of Shoals region. Named after prolific actor and alum George S. Lindsey, who famously played Goober Pyle in “The Andy Griffith Show,” the George S. Lindsey Theatre continues to be a vibrant hub for creativity and cultural expression.
Located on the southwest corner of UNA’s campus on Irvine Street, the building consists of over 8,000 square feet of offices, conference rooms, classrooms, and its centerpiece- the Borgnine Performance Hall.
The Borgnine Performance Hall is a black box theatre (black walls and flat floor), that provides UNA students with versatile performance space equipped with state-of-the-art theatrical equipment.
