Established in early 2020 by undergraduate student organizations SEED (Students Engaged in Eco-Defense) and Garden Club, and maintained by the Beekeeping Club, the Bee Garden is an apiary with an educational mission. Visit to learn about pollinator ecology and to see these tireless little workers in action.
As a Bee Campus USA–certified college, we support pollinators by creating habitat, increasing the abundance of native plants on campus, reducing pesticide use, and providing educational opportunities that foster awareness of pollinator conservation. Since becoming certified in 2023, Lewis & Clark students, staff, and faculty have served on a committee that advances our commitments to conserving native pollinators. Are you a current student, staff, or faculty member who wants to get involved? Join the Bee Campus committee! We welcome anyone interested in helping make our campus a better place for pollinators.
