    1. Jewett Hall Renovation Project

Jewett Hall is being reimagined as a central hub for student success at SUNY Fredonia—bringing together the essential services, spaces and support systems that help students navigate their academic journey and prepare for what comes next.

When complete, the renovated facility will house key student-focused offices including Career Development, Academic Advising, Financial Aid, Student Accounts, the Registrar, and the ACE Office, alongside programs that support global learning and access such as International Education, International Student Services, ESL, EDP and the Honors Program. By uniting these resources in one location, the project is designed to make it easier for students to find guidance, build connections and stay on track.

Beyond offices, Jewett Hall will feature modern classrooms, seminar and multipurpose spaces, student lounges, and unique learning environments including an auditorium and planetarium. Dedicated spaces like a tranquility room will provide opportunities for reflection and balance—supporting the whole student experience.

Construction began in March 2026 and is expected to be completed by August 2028. When finished, Jewett Hall will stand as a welcoming, dynamic space where students can access support, explore opportunities and shape their path forward—reflecting Fredonia’s commitment to helping every student thrive.
