Synthetic Turf Soccer Pitch
The Lake Tahoe Community College District and the City of South Lake Tahoe have established a Joint Power Authority to be known as the Community Play Consortium (CPC) for the purpose of improving, maintaining, and jointly administering real property and recreational facilities available to Lake Tahoe public education entities and members of the Lake Tahoe community. The field is composed of the highest quality and closest to natural grass feel available. The turf infill is 100% organic and is made of an exclusive mixture of cork, coconut, and natural binders. The turf system is long lasting and plays very fast, with minimal skin injuries due to slides and falls. There are covered/protected team and officials benches, a state-of-the-art scoreboard with digital video and audio system, and field lighting.
