The Clarence W. Daugette, Jr International House is home to the Jones International House Program, which provides a window on the world for American and international students at Jacksonville State University.

The program began in 1946 with four students from France and originally focused on language. While the emphasis is still placed on languages, greater importance is now placed on promoting global understanding and peace between all nations and cultures.

There are 40 members of the program— 20 American students and 20 international. Each international student is from a different country and is roomed with an American student.
