Next door to Neil House, Carleton’s Multicultural House hosts the College’s Multicultural Center on the lower level, featuring a main lounge space, large conference room, multiple meeting rooms, storage space for student organizations, and an industrial-sized kitchen. The building also hosts three cultural houses on the first and second floors, intended for students interested in living and learning together while building a community that fosters belonging and raises awareness of history and culture. These houses are: Casa del Sol, focused on the Hispanic and Latine Diaspora; CHAI (Cultural House for Asian Identities), focused on the Asian Diaspora; and Khéya Kiƞ Ihdúwitayapi (The Turtles Gather), focused on Indigenous communities.
