      1. Billy Grant Baseball Field

Historic Billy Grant Field at Tommy Thomas Park has served as the home venue for the Valdosta State Blazer baseball team since before the program won VSU's first National Championship in 1979. The facilities are considered by many as one of the best at the NCAA Division II level and has only improved after undergoing upgrades throughout the years.

In 1997, an 8,000 square foot facility adjacent to Billy Grant Field at Tommy Thomas Park was constructed to help accommodate the growing needs of the Blazer baseball program. The building, known as the Blazer Baseball Field House, includes home and visitor locker rooms, coaches offices, a conference room for team meetings prior to practice and games, fully equipped training and equipment rooms, and a 5,000 square foot indoor batting and pitching arena. In addition, field lighting capacity was increased in 1997, while the grandstands and press box behind home plate also received a dramatic overhaul.

The spacious pressbox at Billy Grant Field at Tommy Thomas Park features accommodations for press and game operations, and closed radio booths are available for both visiting and home teams. In addition, phone lines and WiFi are available as needed for the convenience of all media. In March of 2017, the facility was renamed as Billy Grant Field at Tommy Thomas Park in honor of legendary Head Coach Tommy Thomas, who coached at VSU for 40 years before retiring in 2007.

In recognition of a legendary career that spanned 40 years as the head coach of the Valdosta State baseball program, Tommy Thomas' name was attached in a very permanent way to Blazer baseball. Starting in March of 2017, the name Billy Grant Field at Tommy Thomas Park was placed above the scoreboard and will forever be emblazoned at the Blazers' home facility.
