    1. Collins Residence Hall

In 1957, Collins Hall opened as an all-female residence hall. It was named in honor of Ruth Woodall Collins, wife of Baylor Trustee and benefactor Carr. P. Collins. When it opened, Collins Hall was the largest building in Waco — with twice the square footage of the ALICO building — and it remains the tallest residence hall on campus. Today, Collins Hall is home to more than 450 first-year female residents across many majors and areas of study.
