Access Impact:
Beginning Monday, Dec. 8, the eastbound lane of Decatur Street SE between Collins Street SE and Piedmont Avenue SE will be closed for approximately four weeks while the Department of Watershed Management conducts sewer mainline rehabilitation. The project requires a 24-hour lane closure and work will take place Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Traffic control measures and signage will be in place to safely guide motorists around the work zone.
Motorists are encouraged to exercise caution, follow posted detours and avoid the area when possible.
Detours: To avoid construction, motorists traveling east on Decatur Street SE should turn left on Peachtree Center Avenue SE, turn right on Edgewood Avenue SE, turn right on Courtland Street SE, turn left on Gilmer Street SE, turn right on Jesse Hill Jr. Drive SE then turn left on Decatur Street SE.
