Partnering with the City of Wilmington’s Heal Our Waterways Program and the North Carolina Coastal Federation, UNCW is a demonstration site for innovative stormwater control measures.
Pervious Pavement: good for low flow areas, pervious concrete and asphalt replaces hardened surfaces with materials that allow water to soak through to the soils beneath the paved area instead of carrying contaminants to surrounding waterways.
