The headquarters and main classroom building of the Dr. J. Larry Keen Regional Fire & Emergency Training Complex is located at 775 Tom Starling Road.

The complex, devoted to comprehensive and state-of-the-art training for fire and emergency responders, contains numerous specialized elements, including a 24,000-square-foot building with classrooms, simulation labs, meeting space and three fire apparatus bays; two 4-story training towers, one for rescue training and one for conducting live burning exercises; and an area for trench collapse training and other confined space training.

Work on the only indoor Swift Water Rescue Training facility on the East Coast is being finalized.

History: The first phase of this complex was dedicated in the fall of 2022. Work continues in mid-2023 on the second phase, including the Swift Water Rescue Training facility.
