A sculpture, given a place of honor just outside Arthur Ashe Stadium on the grounds of the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, will forever honor the legacy of Althea Gibson, the pioneering champion who broke the color barrier in the sport of tennis and transcended the sport to become a true American icon.
