Tommy Thompson Park, also known as the Leslie Street Spit, is accessible from downtown Toronto by transit, foot, bike or car (parking near entrance). This urban wilderness park is a great place to experience nature, and one of the best places for bird-watching in the city, with more than 300 recorded species.
