Dedicated in 1994, Persson Hall houses the departments of
economics,
educational studies,
political science, and the
Division of Social Sciences office. The building provides fully networked offices and classrooms, and it features a glassed-in bridge spanning one of the main pedestrian pathways through the campus.
The bridge functions as an informal meeting place and offers dramatic views of both the distinguished upper campus buildings and the vista of the lake below. For the project TSKP won two awards: a New England/AIA Design Award and a CSA/AIA Design Award.
