Bicentennial Hall
Completed in 2000, McCardell Bicentennial Hall (BiHall) uses a flexible and modular design to minimize future construction, waste, and environmental impact. The design also minimizes maintenance and repair costs, meaning considerably less pollution put into the environment. Students in the Sustainability Solutions Lab, along with help from the Vermont Energy Investment Corporation, are investigating ways to reduce energy consumption in BiHall. Their work focuses on proper usage of fume hoods in labs, as the fume hoods require a large amount of energy to function. For more information, visit the Bicentennial Hall website.
