      1. Bowker Barn

The Bowker Barn is home to the Office of Student Employment. Here students can find assistance securing a job as part of their federal work-study financial aid or a Middlebury campus job as part of aid offered by the College.

Typically, students in either of these programs will work 8–12 hours a week, based on assistance offered, and will be paid directly. Students can also get help with any issue that may arise with their job, or enrollment in either of these programs.

The barn and nearby house are named after the longtime mathematics professor and dean of the faculty, John K. Bower, who notably opposed gendered segregation on campus in the 1920s. This was his home for years.
