        Falcon Crossing Fifteen Feet Overhead!

The David A. Cofrin Library serves as a hub for academic support, administrative activity and student learning and success. In addition to the Library’s stacks of greater than 280,000 volumes, the array of Library holdings includes hard copy and electronic historical and contemporary resources, available for research and study.

Mimi, our original, semi-permanent Peregrine Falcon has called the specialized nesting box on the roof of Cofrin Library home since 2011. The domestic adventures of our falcon family even became a televised hit, transmitted via “PhalCON” camera viewing station to a closed-circuit video in the Provost Office.

In addition to books and falcon families, Cofrin Library also houses the University’s main administrative offices as well as The Learning Center, a dynamic study and academic support space, located in the Library Commons.
