The Knox College Caven Library provides access to a book collection of over 80,000 volumes with an emphasis on Biblical studies, reformed history and theology, Presbyterianism, in particular the Presbyterian Church in Canada, as well as pastoral care and counselling, and spiritual care and psychotherapy.

The Thomas Rare Book Library houses the Knox College Collection. It now has around 5,000 rare books. The collection was originally at the core of the Knox College Caven Library, which was established in 1844. This long tradition of theological study has resulted in a collection of exceptional scope, especially noted for its strength in the biblical, pastoral and historical fields, as well as an extensive collection of works particularly focused on reformed theology.
