The Thomas Fisher Rare Book Library houses the Department of Rare Books and Special Collections. We have approximately 700,000 volumes and 3,500 linear metres of manuscripts.
As one of the leading research libraries in North America, we aim to foster the search for knowledge by supporting research and learning across all disciplines taught at U of T. We serve faculty, staff, students and alumni, as well as the public. Our resources may be used by all scholars and researchers outside of U of T.
