The Troy University Center for Materials and Manufacturing Sciences houses state-of-the-art research labs funded by the National Institute for Standards and Technology for research in polymer chemistry. The CMMS focuses on finding new ways to recycle existing plastics. This is also where we develop biodegradable plastics to combat the growing environmental challenge presented by plastic waste currently filling our landfills and threatening our oceans.
