The Conrad Blucher Institute for Surveying and Science (CBI) is the nation's largest endowed surveying institute. Donated by the Blucher family in 1978, the CBI has developed technology focused on geographical surveying and geographical information sciences. Much of the equipment used by CBI researchers is based on the same satellite technology used by NASA. The CBI provides unique research opportunities for those studying the high-paying fields of geomatics and surveying.
Creating novel solutions to enhance the quality of life, the CBI is also home to the Innovation in Computing Research Lab (iCORE). Founded in 2011, iCORE is a research, development and commercialization group that promotes excellence, innovation and entrepreneurship in computing and related fields.
