The Education Center at Blue Island (ECBI) is a satellite location offering modern classrooms with internet access, a science lab, computer labs, tutoring center, a cyber cafe lounge, vending machines, photo ID, placement testing center and quiet study areas. ECBI offers fully on-site health care career training programs such as Basic Nurse Assistant Training, Medical Coding, Nursing and Phlebotomy. You also can take transfer, career, noncredit, High School Equivalency and English Second Language courses.
ECBI is home to Career Connections Youth Program, a free federally funded work readiness program that helps participants prepare for the workforce, provide job placement assistance, educational assistance and supportive services.
Located in downtown Blue Island, ECBI is close to Interstate 57, and free parking is available in the City of Blue Island parking lot, located immediately west of the building. Additional parking is available in the city lot one block southeast. Current and prospective students are encouraged to make an appointment to receive support services such as financial aid assistance, registration, photo ID and academic planning.
