Timeline: July 1st, 2024- September 13th, 2024
Location: Allequippa St between the Petersen Event Center and Sutherland Hall.
Safety: There will be signage in place to guide pedestrians to the proper crosswalks. There will be additional signage in place to have vehicular traffic slow down in the area. The signage outside of the Petersen Event Center will guide pedestrians to the revolving doors. The Petersen Event Center will open the additional doors long the exterior walk way at 6am to help others who may have missed signage.
Details: There will be a sidewalk closure from July 1st, 2024 through September 13th, 2024 (Timeline subject to change). Pedestrians will be guided to utilize the crosswalks to cross between Sutherland Hall and the Petersen Event center.
Since the barrier is obstructing the pedestrian crossing area, Allequippa Street has one crosswalk, which will be removed from pedestrian usage. The walkway in front of Sutherland Hall will be the new crossing point for pedestrians traveling along the sidewalk along Panther Hall. They can then reroute their path to the sidewalk in front of the Petersen Event Center.
