Kurzius Beach & Pavilion
Named after JU Trustee Lawrence Kurzius, Kurzius Beach and Pavilion fronts the majestic St. Johns River with stunning sunset views of downtown Jacksonville. Intersected by a wide, paved running trail--Cost Trail--the beach and pavilion allow direct access to the riverfront, covered picnic tables, restrooms, and grilling equipment. Surrounded by nature unique to northeast Florida, visitors to Kurzius Beach and Pavilion may enjoy catching a glimpse of JU's sailing or rowing teams, or do a little dolphin watching.
