Penn State New Kensington Health Services provides educational programs and medical services to students that are designed to improve their health. Health Services staff work collaboratively to identify and advocate for student needs to provide appropriate high quality, cost effective responses. Located in the Athletics Center, the Health Services clinic is open to all students registered for the current semester. Faculty and staff are also eligible for emergency care and screenings. Campus Health Services Students needing assistance from the campus' Health Services should first call the office to speak with Nurse Stella Milburn for phone consultation to receive guidance and needed care. Nurse Stella can be reached between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. by calling 724-334-6066. Information in your medical record is released only when you provide written authorization. Health Promotion and Education We promote health awareness, positive health behaviors, and disease prevention. One-on-one counseling is available to students seeking assistance with health concerns such as smoking, alcohol and other drug abuses, nutrition and weight management, human sexuality issues, and more. Vaccination information: Immunization Requirements Immunizations offer safe and effective protection from vaccine-preventable diseases. The United States is experiencing re-emergence of these diseases, in part due to factors such as non-immunized and under-immunized persons and global travel. University Health Services of the Pennsylvania State University strongly supports the use of vaccines to protect the health of our individual students and our campus community. Important Immunization Requirements for All Incoming Students All incoming Penn State students must provide proof of immunization against measles, mumps, and rubella. In accordance with Pennsylvania state law, students living in on-campus housing must also provide proof of the meningococcal conjugate vaccine (Menveo, Menactra, MCV4), which protects against infections caused by serogroups A, C, W and Y. Additionally, the University strongly urges all students to be immunized against COVID-19 (primary series and booster). To submit: log in to myUHS using your Penn State access credentials, and upload image files of your official immunization records and, if applicable, any positive antibody titer blood test results. Immunization requirements are applicable to all undergraduate and graduate students at University Park and Commonwealth Campuses excluding World Campus and Great Valley. COVID-19 Information COVID-19 Symptom Tracker All members of the campus community are strongly encouraged to use the COVID-19 Symptom Checker via the Penn State GO App on a daily basis, even when not on campus. The Penn State GO App can be downloaded via the Apple App Store and Google Play.
